IV.         Calendar for April & May

• April 13 & 27 - Youth Group; then, every other week
• April 2, Noon - Library Team Meeting
• April 21, Noon - Maundy Thursday Service (6:00 PM - Seder)
• April 22, Noon - Good Friday Service
• April 25, 7 PM - Greece Board of Education Forum in the Sanctuary
• April 30 - Spruce Up Greece Day - meet at church
• May 1 - CROP Walk
• May 15, Education Hour - Vote on RIC Statement of Affirmation & Welcome

V.          Report of the Pastor - Aileen Robbins

• Two volunteers needed for Synod Assembly - Vicki (Mon., Tues.- ?), Sandy McLellan/Scott Bourque (?)  and to attend Conference Spring Assembly May 2, 6:30 PM, St. Timothy’s, Geneseo

VI.         Call Every Member Project - Discussion

• Pastor Aileen has responded to any requests for calls / visits
• Wayne compiling feedback
• Worthwhile project
• Calls mostly well received - important sharing through questions, concerns
• Ministry leaders to respond if those called indicate interest in their area of ministry

VII.       Stewardship - Narrative Budget Proposal - Wayne Reabold

• 18-24 month projection in narrative budgets, due June 1
• Information to congregation by September if possible
• Perhaps special event / concert to kick off campaign
• Booklet done professionally (?) - too costly
• Still pictures / videos to be taken between now and September

VIII.      Insurance Payments for Willie - Wayne - discussion

• Formerly covered by wife Debbie who is currently unemployed
• Messiah had made payments for him to Presbyterian Church under Debbie

IX.         Faith Formation - Jo-Ann

• April 7 - about 50 folks going to the Mosque
• May 1 - Imam / others visitors coming to Messiah
• May 22 - Sunday School picnic for children and parents - discussion of growing Sunday School, excitement among children, further involvement of parents, summer Sunday School
• MAD Camp week of August 23- meeting coming up of Jo-Ann, Pastor Aileen, Willie
• April 30 - Spruce Up Greece Day
• Education Hour centered around Power Surge - fall program?
• Larry Dennis now officially the chair of Adult Education
• Mary Lou Reabold - idea for Victory Garden, with vegetables, etc.

X.          Quarterly Statements to be mailed soon

XI.         Greece School Board Forum

• Monday, April 25, 7:00 PM, Sanctuary
• Great concern  - overload on sewer system - very expensive repairs, etc.

XII.       Celebration of Music / Pastor’s Proposal

• Once a quarter - special music program / concert at Messiah - open to public; involve church / community / Hochstein talent; small group of RPO or RPYO
• Messiah might host Greece School music program, if needed due to district budget cuts?
• Monday - Friday, Two Doors program here in afternoons, beginning in Fall 2011
• Musical production in future similar to “Joseph”?
• Retired person to lead expanded music ministry?

XIII.      Property Updates - Sandy McLellan

• Among items included tonight: Floors upstairs and down; NCOC (gas / electric) agreement; security system training; keys at Messiah; lock changed on computer room; to do list
• Patching / sealing of parking lot
• Additional security light in back portion of parking lot
• Restrooms to be stocked with paper products, soap
• Unisex restroom?

XIV.      Other Ministry Updates & Proposals

• Greece CROP Walk - Clive Daunton - First Sunday in May; begins at Messiah; volunteers needed (sign up sheet soon)
• Reconciling in Christ - Vicki Robinson - Statement to be voted on during Education Hour May 15 - discussion / questions that morning prior to vote, no absentee ballots, Messiah will not leave ELCA regardless of results of vote
• Gospel Sunday May 22
• Be mindful of Messiah’s Mission Statement - care of members with strong feelings one way or another, look for ways to be welcoming and to enhance ministry at Messiah
• Possible Fall Education Hour Topic - Spiritual Counseling
