Erna Erna Lewis Ernas Hope
Erna's Hope was founded by Erna Lewis, who lost her brave battle with ovarian cancer on March 18, 2008. Erna's Hope is a nonprofit organization with a two-fold mission: to inform women of the symptoms of and facts about ovarian cancer and to donate "Comfort Bags" to women who are newly diagnosed with ovarian cancer and other gynecological cancers.
The Comfort Bag contains such items as a head scarf which can be used when chemotherapy causes hair loss, a CD player and motivational and relaxation CDs which can be listened to while undergoing chemotherapy,
and many personal care items. The Erna's Hope organization donates the Comfort Bags to women battling cancer so that they may know that others support them and wish to help them as they go through a very difficult time in their lives.
